Polaroid is unreliable

Hi there,

Actually i'm pretty sick for the moment, but still I want to write this down about my recent Polaroid experience.

A while ago I bought a 1200 film Polaroid Image Softtone EdgeCut Expired from the Impossible Project website. I was very excited to try out the film as it gives very soft and dreamy images according to the website.
Well as you may know I have started a new Project : Alternate Mondays.
Therefore I take at least 1 Polaroid every week to complete my project. Since I used another old 1200 film regulary I wanted to try something new.

Now I realized that the Edge Cut is also expired ;-)
Still unreliable actually.

This week I wanted to take pictures from the edge Cut film and they came out really nasty. I don't know what went wrong, but the entire film is totally ruined. Is it the time that played a part, or de cold or heat that ruined it? I don't know.

Here is an example of what I mean :

Ofcourse I have mailed the problem to IMP
This is the answer from "The Impossible Project" customer service

We can not guarantee the quality of these expired stocks. expired film is sold "as is". We do test these expired films on a regular basis and store them in a cooled warehouse which extends the shelflive of films considerably over the expiry date. still Impossible can not guarantee that every single pack of these expired Polaroid materials will perform without any alterations or peculiar behaviour.

Still they will send me a new film, so I hope it's a better one this time.

Just wanted to let you know that ;-)
